1. We had bad weather at the beginning of January. I noticed it was snowing first thing in the morning and I knew we were going to have a blizzard. We couldn't see the trees. The ground was white and deep. The wind was blowing hard and ice was outside my window. People were getting stuck in their cars on the hill. The dangerous roads were closed and lot of schools got cancelled.
2. One year we had a lot of rain and in 24 hrs, the town was flooded. Our school was not flooded but the water was turned off because of contamination. Several people died as a result of the stress.
3. My dad was driving. We were trying to reach the basement but it was too late. The tornado sucked us out of the car and we suffered terrible injury.
4. Tidal waves are really, really big, but there are actually people who go out and ride them on specially built surfboards. Even though these surfers are experienced, one or two die every year in this huge surf.

Surfers risk death in huge swells

Roads closed after heavy falls

Schools closed after rain

Storm throws father and child into field.
